Controlling What Your Members See in Member Portal
Applies to: Member Manager — Portal Visibility settings
Audience: Club owners
Overview
Member Portal includes a number of features — Schedule, Enroll, Marketplace, and more — but not every club uses all of them. If your club doesn't use a feature, you can now hide it from your members so they aren't distracted by sections that don't apply to your business.
The Portal Visibility settings page lets you turn individual Portal modules and dashboard widgets on or off. The changes apply to every member who logs into your Portal.

Who Can Change These Settings
Only club owners can change Portal Visibility settings. Staff members and other roles will not see this page.
When you turn a module off, you'll be asked to confirm — this is to prevent accidental changes that could affect every member's experience.
How to Access Portal Visibility
- Sign in to Member Manager as the club owner.
- Go to Setup.
- Select Personalize.
- Select Member Portal Setup.
You'll see a list of every module and widget that can be toggled, with a switch next to each one.
What You Can Show or Hide
Top-Level Navigation
These are the main sections members see in their Portal navigation.
| Module | What It Does | |
|---|---|---|
| Dashboard | The Portal landing page with widgets (see below). | |
| Schedule | The class and appointment schedule. | |
| Enroll | Program and class enrollment. | |
| Marketplace | Online product and package purchases. |
Dashboard Widgets
These appear on the Portal Dashboard. You can turn each one on or off independently.
| Widget | What It Shows | |
|---|---|---|
| Check-In Barcode | The member's barcode for facility check-in. | |
| Messages | Recent messages from your club. | |
| Upcoming Classes | Classes the member is enrolled in. | |
| Remaining Sessions | Session balances for packages or punch cards. | |
| Upcoming Payments | Scheduled payments and amounts. |
Always Visible
Profile and Sign Out are always available to members and cannot be turned off.
How to Turn a Module On or Off
- On the Portal Visibility page, find the module or widget you want to change.
- Click the toggle switch.
- If you're turning a module off, confirm the change when prompted.
Changes take effect the next time a member opens Member Portal.
Common Scenarios
"We don't sell anything through Marketplace." Turn the Marketplace module off. Members won't see Marketplace in their navigation.
"We use external software for class scheduling." Turn Schedule and Upcoming Classes off. Members won't see schedule-related views in the Portal.
"We don't use the Portal for enrollment." Turn Enroll off.
"We only want members to use the Portal to check in." Turn off all top-level navigation except Dashboard, and turn off every Dashboard widget except Check-In Barcode. Members will see a Portal focused on check-in only.
What Members See
When a module is turned off, members will simply not see it — they won't get an error or a message. The Portal will adjust to show only the sections you've enabled.
If you turn off all Dashboard widgets, members will see a friendly welcome message on the Dashboard instead of an empty page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will changing these settings affect Member Manager?
No. Portal Visibility only controls what members see in Member Portal. Your Member Manager experience is unchanged.
Can I hide modules for some members and not others?
Not in this release. Visibility settings apply to all members in your club.
Can staff still see these features?
Yes — staff use Member Manager, not Member Portal. Their tools are unaffected.
What happens if I turn a module off, then turn it back on?
Members will see the module again the next time they load the Portal. Nothing is deleted by toggling off — you're only hiding it.
Will this break anything for members currently using a module?
If a member is mid-action when you turn a module off (for example, in the middle of an enrollment), they may need to refresh or sign in again to see the updated Portal. Existing data and history are not affected.
